Find out a bit more about us and what makes us tick.
Nick is an experienced Financial Planner, with a strong track record in Retirement Planning, Inheritance Tax Planning and Protection Planning. He holds a Diploma in Financial Planning.
To date, his focus has been mainly working with ‘Accumulators’ or those concentrating on building up their wealth. As a reflection of his increasing years, however, his client base seems to be moving steadily to include ‘Decumulators’, or those in the process of converting their pension savings to retirement income.
Never having thought at sixteen that he would become a Financial Planner, he now sees that a love of problem solving combined with the sense of satisfaction in helping others improve their personal situation, means it is the ideal job for him.
Almost a born and bred Londoner (Epsom) Nick admits he does have a hankering to move back to Brighton where he studied Environmental biology at Sussex University. He describes himself as an enthusiastic if often over confident cook. He is also a keen cyclist and runner although likes to disguise this with a well-rounded figure!
Inheritance Tax Planning is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
With over 11 years’ industry experience (and counting!), Matt has Chartered Financial Planner status and holds an Advanced
Diploma in Financial Planning. He is also an Affiliate STEP member, specialising in family inheritance and succession planning.
During his time as a Financial Adviser, Matt has seen the profession go through a major transition with positive steps having been made to put the client/adviser relationship right at the centre. He particularly enjoys building relationships with his clients and forming robust financial plans to help them really understand their finances and feel engaged with them.
Matt is married with 2 young sons and splits his time between Cardiff and London. He is a keen sportsman, passionate Welsh rugby fan and enthusiastic golfer – and misunderstood musician!
The Financial Conduct Authority does not regulate estate planning.
Matt has considerable experience in the financial services industry and has achieved Chartered status as a Financial Planner.
He studied finance at University but admits he didn’t really plan to go down the financial advice route at the time. He just sort of happened into it. But is now very glad he did! As what he finds particularly rewarding about financial planning is helping people solve problems and make informed decisions about their financial future, whether that’s regarding investments, retirement or protection.
Matt is married to Sarah and has a young daughter called Emily. Originally from Somerset, in the South West, he moved to London in 2006 and now lives in Godalming, Surrey. He has a keen interest in cricket (Somerset, not Surrey!), football and golf. He also enjoys hiking with the family and loves photography – something he’ll have plenty of time to practice on his daughter!
As our Account Manager, Catherine keeps Motus Financial Planning running smoothly. On a day to day basis, she assists all the advisers in providing planning advice by conducting research and preparing reports for clients. She has completed her Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
Outside of work, Catherine likes to spend as much time as possible with friends and family, sampling new foods and exploring new places. She loves to travel and her goal is to visit as many different countries as she can to complete her colour world map!
Anna has over 10 years of experience within the Financial Services industry, beginning her career working for Lloyd’s bank as a cashier! Due to her passion of organising and delivering the best possible client experience, this progressed into working directly with Financial Advisers supporting them in managing case administration and client servicing.
Out of work Anna is kept busy by her two sons and their sporting commitments! When she takes time for herself this usually involves being outside exploring the countryside.
